Dang, closest thing to me is when it will be in Denver, and that's about 1000 miles away, oh well.....maybe they will bring the Challenger over here again someday. No more 4449 down this way though either....stupid UP. No SP on our tracks. Grrrr..........

Your right. The California state Railroad Museum is proclaimed to be the best in the world, and who could say it is not? Last cabforward in the world is there. Don't forget the first loco for the Central Pacific (Gov. standford), the Sonoma, the CP Huntington, and more. Don't forget it is on the UP mainline also, and across those tracks is the former SP Sacramento Shops which are being restored for public viewing. You would not believe the awesome stuff sitting in that yard.
