I've come across some cops who put their badge on in the morning and think their God. I had the pleasure of putting one of those whackos out of a job. That'll teach him to harrass a firefighter in the performance of his dutiies.

There is the right way. And there is a wrong way. See most cops could care less what your doing. As long as you stay out of trouble when out Railfanning.

Move to Texas in roughly ten years. By then, I will have at least one year with the highway patrol. I think, I am a little brighter than ole Officer Fife, Jr. "I'm Trooper RR Redneck of the DPS......" I could see that... DPS has a tough job...and lots of territory to cover....

I respect anyone who decides to be a cop. An extremely high stress job. I could never do that for just that reason. Don't put me in a high stress job then give me a gun. It'll be like Dirty Harry without his morning coffee. RR, I hope for your sake and your fellow officers you don't think you're above the law just because you have a badge. That means, don't cut in line at Tim Horton's or Dunkin' Donuts.
