Then where did the STOCK CAR go? CHUCK It evloved. Back in the old days, Stock Cars were actual stock cars. Now though that practice wouldn't be too safe having people running at triple digit speeds. So it evolved. The modern stock car has a heavy duty steel tube roll cage and a sheet metal body modeled after street cars, with engines and drive trains from the manufacturer that is on the hood.

MONTE CARLO NASCAR CASTIRON V-8 REAR WHEEL DRIVE. MONTE CARLO FACTORY ALUMINUM BLOCK V-6 FRONT WHEEL DRIVE. STOCK? PS ALL THE OTHER CARS ARE PRETTY MUCH THE SAME. BUY IT OFF THE SHOWROOM, GUT IT INSTALL ROLLCAGE, FUEL TANK, OTHER SAFETY EQUIPMENT AND PUT HER ON THE TRACK.

May I suggest going to www.howstuffworks.com and searching how nascar race cars work. All engines are modeled after the dodge 340 cid from the 60's, All frames are the same. STOCK?
