Hey Alex! Were the founders of that town, "Texas Rebels" by any chance? Can't think of any other reason why folks would call a town "Texas". Must have been desperate or homesick!!

Texas, Inglewood Texas road, New South Wales, Australia. Looks like the closest hwy would be Bruxner Hwy. I couldn't find anything on population or history.
Some streets going east and west are as follows: Avoca, Mitchell, Cha, Hart, Schwenke, Moore, High, Saint John, Lennon, Middleton, Ryan.
Some streets going North and South are as follows: Inglewood Texas road, Broadway, Broadway West, Kemp. Avon, McDougal, Fleming, Grayson.
How'd I do, Alex?

ya, Bruxner highway runs through my town (but then the Princes Highway is thousands of kilometers long, running from sydney to adelaide)
btw, highways are rarely freeways here. some of the Pacific Highway is freeway tho. some parts of the Bruxner are
any more questions about Australia? i can tell you the lot
btw, you did good Jeff. its a small town, typical of the area (1000 peoples). the town i'm in is 5000.

Bout 11,000 here. Lunch traffic on HWY 171 is something you have to see to believe.
