Apolice siren is 185 db's, a train horn is over 220 db's. That's load enough to permantly damage your eardrums if subjected to it for more than few minutes.

I think he was more stupid than deaf. Somewhere like over 200 miles from my town a woman was ran over an killed by a UP track while walking on the tracks listening to a CD player!! WHAT A STUPID ASS!!
