So just because you hate BNSF they should merge with UP? Frankly, it will NEVER happen. It would simply ruin the economy as there would be no competition and UP could charge whatever they want for rates, which would eventually kill them and we'd lost all rail service in the west (except for other RRs)

Alex, just because you hate BNSF, doesn't mean that Union Pacific will buy-out BNSF. BNSF is pretty much too big for UP to absorb right now anyhow. And don't take this the wrong way, but your opinion really doesn't matter to the railroads.
