Being new to this I take it both engines are powered to pull that many cars. If both engines are under power how do you get them to run in synchronization? How do you get it done without one pulling the other or one pushing the other? I tried to do it but it did not work very good.

It's actually not that hard to sync motors, especially if they're the same brand. I can't recall the last time I ran only one engine!

You can just hook'em up and fire'em up.

OK. Most of my engines are late 60s early to mid 70s and a mix of Bachmann, Tyco, alm, and a Pemco diesel so now DA I know why it was not working. Well if you do not ask you do not learn. Thank You! So I will be asking from time to time. I got most of my engines and rolling stock at yard sales but some I have had from the 60s and been collecting for years hoping to at some point to have room for a layout. I got a Bachmann Bee Line from my wife for my birthday last year and I also finely had a room to setup in. Now I wish I had a bigger room and my wife wishes I had garage to put me and the train, and she got me started!

I'd retire your fleet if I was you.

Yes you maybe right about that. But then again it has been a good fleet to learn with. One you do not have to worry to much about messing it up. So if anything you learn what works or doesn't work. When I get to the point with the help of the people here that I know a little about what I'm doing which may take some time. I will replace some if not all the fleet.

The acronym stands for International Hobby Corp, but it might as well be International Hobby Conartists.

If I ran 40 cars on my layout, the engine would be chasing the caboose.
