I knew about this for about two weeks, and the situation hasn't changed a bit since then. Hunter Harrison wants to Americanize the railway, which no matter what your overly patriotic way of looking at things says, is a bad thing. AND he wants to run the railroad with management people. Literally. CN is going to crumple by the end of the month. Trust me on this one.

That it is....it's also officially legal now. Unfortunately, the government is thinking of ordering them back to work, seeing as this is delaying vital shipments to a lot of essential businesses in Canada. Wish they'd tell Hunter to get his head out of his ass instead.

Wish they'd tell Hunter to get his head out of his ass instead. He might be in serious hot water, if it continued. Of course the government had to step in... What would have happened if they defied the government and didn't go back to work?

Well, there is a precedent in history about a similar thing that happened during one of the world wars, I don't remember which one. Railroad workers went on strike. The president fired every one of them, inducted them into the army and put them back to work on the railroads in their former capacities. They couldn't strike then. If they did, they'd be executed for treason.
