Part # is MTH 30-2631-1 Had this loco running under the tree for Christmas. I gotta say the Proto 2 sounds are AWESOME! The announcers even have New York accents! Loco ran smooth as silk pulling two 70' scale Lionel heavyweight Madison cars. Those scale Madison cars are LOOOONNNNG, so two was all I hooked up on my 4X8 plywood sheet. I gotta confess, I have YET to hear a Lionel loco with Trainsounds/Railsounds/CrewTalk that sounds as good as the MTH Proto 2. Of course, I haven't run any of my Lionel Railsounds 5.0 locos yet, so the jury is still out on them I really like the grey "lightning stripe" paint no the NYC F3s. It's carried onto the heavyweight pass cars, so it really blends well. MTH is coming out with an ABA F3 setup for Jersey Central that is REALLY tempting me. Won't be released for a while, so I have time to save up for it. It's around $700 samolies retail. Dep

Yes. I am aware of that. I have no intrest in purchasing it however.

Personally, I found K-Line to be cheap junk. Now that it is owned by Lionel, I might think about buying some.
