I've been in the hobby for quite a while, and in that time I've seen some truely cool things. But I suppose that over the years I've become a bit jaded. I mean, I can appreciate good modeling, but it takes a lot to just blow me away, ya know? Then today I stumbled across this guy who's scratchbuilding turnouts in N scale (prettty cool, but not totally awesome per say). So anyways, I start looking at some of his work. And then I stumble across this! It's code 40 N scale rail! Just look at that frog! The modelers name is Tim Warris and he's using a "Fast Tracks" jig.

That is taking on a hard piece of work (a true modeler)......hard enough to just hand lay track, getting a turnout right is quite a job.

That is so cool i was thinking about building a 11 1/4 " curved turnout that switches into a 9 3/4" out of code 80 as a starter. (i hope i make sense to you guys )

Never fails, You can be in this hobby for years and years and think you've seen it all. Then some guy comes along and shows you how to REALLY model. I've seen some amazing things but this is insane. I'll bet he woke up one morning and thought, "this is getting boring. I'm going to try this..."
What more can I say? WOW!

It is the complexity that blows me away.

Quite a piece of engineering. I've never seen a track plan that called for one of those.

Scroll down this page ( www.bronx-terminal.com/ ) about half way and it says it was an actual turnout used for the Bronx Terminal RR. I think one of those straight routes must have dead ended right there. I don't see how it could have routed through the points of the other turnout.
