Why are they so considered about websites, like this one, when you can learn more just by watching Trains Unlimited on the history channel, or reading Trains Magazine?

Because what you see now will be gone in a few months. That's if the department of HS get what they want. This site along with others will be long gone.

Why are they so considered about websites, like this one, when you can learn more just by watching Trains Unlimited on the history channel, or reading Trains Magazine? Probably their main concern is that our information is much more up to date then what you see on TV. Just look at Rich and Kevin's daily posts on the trains they've seen each day and where they saw them. See what I mean? A terrorist might be able to use that. Of course a terrorist might be able to use a lot more info from say, a tour of Cape Canaveral.

Yeah. Terrorists can get their information from any number of sources.

"IF" I were a terrorist, a railfan is not the place I'd go to get my info. A simple radio scanner would yield WAY more info.

Shh, don't tell them that. They'll either arrest you for tipping off the terrorist, or ban scanners.

Well yall might wanna watch out. I heard on trainboard.com that the FBI is keeping a good eye on railfanning websites(MAYBE THIS ONE) So yall might wanna keep it clean and no tipping for the terrorist They're simply barking up the wrong tree! Terrorists are high tech! 9/11 should have taught them that! Terrorists aren't interested in a couple of old farts like me and a few teenagers sitting around shooting the breeze about the coolest paint job or the AC MAC whatever. It's not even important that we know the busiest areas of a RR. Thats common knowledge to anyone who wants to find out. Our chatter about that, or I doubt anything else, isn't going to be anything new to a truely high tech, plugged in, gung ho terrorist. Our boys need to concentrate on the terrorists, not the guys who love the trains. The guys who love the trains wouldn't think of doing harm to one. I know that I don't want the trains to stop running past my house. I like the sound of the loco's. It puts me right to sleep!
